Depends on what you mean..

A staghorn type acro will grow up and out quicker than many - a monti cap will cover large horizontal areas quicker than others and something like acropora gemmifera (sp??) will put on more weight than other sps due to its very dense growth pattern. (all given appropriate conditions of course :) ).

Do you have a more specific question? I belive that the acropora family are one of the leading contributers to reef mass.
