Dear UK reefers,
I have been running a very cute reef cube since mid-December 2005. The tank sizes: LxWxH=27.5'x22.5'x27, runs with a 100lt sump/refugium(w/ Chaeto + DSB), is skimmed by a DELTEC MCE-600, lit by a Giesemann NOVA-II 250W MH (12,500K) and a pair of T5 actinics, includes 60pounds of LR, cycled by 2 SEIOs M820 + 3 MJs 1200 + TUNZE 1073.30 for the return from sump, CAC/phosGuard in a canister...Hope I covered you...
I have stocked my reef cube with several sps frags, most of from "Fishman's Frags"-Chris! Great pieces when it comes to adaptivity and colouration! ;)
Among them there are a few Acro frags (not all by Chris, though). What my pain in the @ss is, is the minor polyp extension during the light-period...
Polyps though come out when the actinics are off! There is a normal to good growth rate and quite good colouration...But I see, the same frags in other co-hobbyists' tanks showing extreme polyp extension! What could make mine being so "shy"? :(
There is also a medium-small Zebrasoma xanthurum, 1 Bicolor dwarf angel, 1 Flame angel, 1 small clownfish plus some little gobies and shrimps...I have been watching my dwarves for quite many hours and came to the conclusion that they are not the culprits!
