Orange fan coral

Hi guys

I got an orange fan sponge given free today, not sure about it though :confused:

I know most of these sponges dont seem to fare well so wouldnt have bought it but seen as it was free :o

Lol. So, what are the signs to look out for to say its going downhill and will it poison my tank?

if your fan sponge starts to turn white anywhere then you know its not got long left in the world only other thing i'd say is make sure it does'nt get any algae attatched or it will suffucate the sponge thats about it keep well fed and good luck rich...
ps it wont poison your tank

Good good, I chucked it out ages ago though fella. It turned all white and looked like there was no tissue left at the top :(

Good to hear it couldnt have poisened the tank though,

ball and crinkle seem the hardiest to me others may dissagree finger and fan seem the worst hope this helps in case you see another rich...

:D Nice one! Yeah get posting pics up on it, cant find any good ones of mine, currently trading a few though so may have some good ones up soon. Saw some lovely pinky red ones on sunday but was skint!! :( Were a bargain too!
