Montipora plates are great first SPS corals. Red types grow faster than others usually, and frags are very easy to come by.

I could always frag that acro at the top of my tank? Though don't ask me to do it this week as I'm fitting a kitchen and it's hard going - haven't even got to building cabinets yet. Saying that, if you can get my floor up (lino glued to ply, glued and nailed to lino, glued to chipboard), I'll buy you a coral!

Acropora formosa, grows like wildfire :D

Some of the less fussy SPS that can be more forgiving IME are things like Millepora and Pavona.
