Other than Bubble Tip Anemones which I already successfully keep under Actinic Tubes, does any one know of any other amemone species which will flourish under the (relatively) low light intensity of Actinics?

I would particularly like to provide an anemone in which my clowns would host as they have taken no interest in the BTA`s since I introduced them about 18 months ago.

Appreciate any suggestions, even a "not possible".

Cheers

This guy, plus a huge Carpet, a Tube Anemonie and a Rose BTA have been under T5s for about a year now, but, as I said in another thread, I didn't tell them about Halides so they don't miss them ;)

Sorry about the quality, I suppose I am classed as Kodakially challenged, to be PC

You will see the vast majority of advice will tell you you need Halides, and, in the majority of cases they are right. I have been keeping them for a lot of years now and feel I know their individual needs quite well, and can read their reactions. I always think Very long and carefully about positioning them, this tank the only wanderer I have had is the Rose, a character that comes out in the day, then wanders around behind the rockwork at night. So yes, you can keep them successfully under other than Halides, but there is a lot more than light to be considered. These where also introduced when the tank was only 2 months old, you shouldn't do that either is the general opinion, so go figure:)
I don't use additives other than for Ph, and do very few water changes, what works for some doesn't work for others so read a lot before you go ahead, HTH, Mike
