I take it the white tips r growing..
any advice?
that's a montipora digitata, not an acro, nice specimin for a tenner though, and a bit hardier than acros!

yeah its a fairly easy sps to keep, but we would need a full list of the tank specs and parameter to be sure it will be okay
yes, my main concern is intoxification from the softies I have in the tank, I started with softies hence their place in my tank, but im moving towards the more hardcore end of the market now..
I dont run carbon, although someone mentioned I should try thinking about it if the monti doesnt grow, to get rid of the softie toxins I am told?
i would run carbon if i were you.
some of the softies can be more or less toxic depending on species, lobophytum - devils hand is supposedly very toxic to hard corals - but i have one and i dont think ill get rid of it. all sps growing well so im not too worried. i run activated carbon (rowa-carbon)in a cannister filter and change once a month.
i have a few sps corals but i do like my softies and lps as well. i would never run an all SPS tank.

I hope you have a wallet that is well and truly lined with £10 notes, lol.
PS nice frag for a tenner.
