id say 20kg of live rock would be about right and one bag of live sand(if you wanted to make it easy) small fish - depends what you pick,if FO or corals etc and what skimmer but id say 6 or 7 small fish would give you a rough idea, say couple of perc clowns, pair of firefish, goby or blenny, chromis etc

I think 20 kg would be ok but maybe a bit much, start with 10 - 12 kg and then add more if you find the need and i would agree with Mark on the fish.

While 20kg of live rock will fit ok, you should find that 15kg filters just as well if you aquascape in open fashion with as much surface area of the rock exposed to the water flow as possible.

If you are planning to have corals as well then I would limit it to about 4 small fish. Your tank will support about 12" of fish (adult size!) when it is mature and less to start with. Any more and you will struggle with nitrates. Fish as listed by Mark. A Royal Gramma would also be ok.

depends on stocking etc, but the general rule is between 1lb and 2lb per U.S gallon

I have a 24G tank, it has ~15kg LR, ~1" of sand, 2 small fish and 4 shrimp. I'm not planning to add anymore livestock.

I would have said 6-7 fish would be too many for such a small tank, my suggestion would be 4 maximum as long as you have good filtration. Everyones opinion differs though.

btw, the 24G JBJ isn't actually anything like 24G even if you include the filter area. Tanks are regularly mis-sold like this but they seem to get away with it.

I would say 6 or 7 is overstocked in a 24 gallon tank

If its a JBJ then it will probably be in US gallons, so 24G is approx 20 Imperial Gallons.
