Over the last few weeks my nem's gone walk about and last week i noticed that i now have two small nems :D
Is this how they form new nems in the wild or has it done this as a self defence safety in numbers thing ??
Matt
EDIT:sp error
They do this in the wild and they also reproduce sexually.
It is quite common for nems to split as a response to stress but this is not always the case

bta do this quite often, mine has just split and now i have 2 large rbta.this is what they do in the wild to reproduce.i leave them for a couple of weeks to recover before feeding them.derek
they can also do this as a saftey feature, if you have poor light or water conditions for one big one by splitting they have the safety in numbers situation, if you water and lights are up to the job then they are just doing it to reproduce, mine did it around 6 to 8 months ago and now i have two, alough the second one goes walkabout which is causing a problem the first is in the same spot it took some time ago and has never moved.
