Ok, since one 14k is diffrent to the other i e-mailed the supplier.

he says its a bad batch and can offer me a freee 20k in replacement for it. And offer me a 2nd 20k with 30% off.

Im just wondering what the color diffrence is ?
is it a better spectrum?

any body got any pics of a tank under 20 k?

The 20k will be more bluer but appear less bright than a 14k

Also the PAR will almost certainly be lower so corals will receive less light although imo they will probably look better and stand out a bit more.

I personally quite like the 20k's providing they dont look too dull or purple.

What make of bulb is it?

Are both the 14K and the 20K from the same manufacturer (not supplyer). ie are they both the same brand.? If not, then theres very little you can be certain about regarding how blue one will look compared to another.

both are coming from the same supplier.

Im going to be getting two 20k from the same batch. from the same supplier, from the same manufcaturer.

So hopefully two nice blue bulbs :)

Mike,

Did you get those 20k bulbs from petpirates? What they like?
