hello,
My LFS is selling purple atlantic anenomes which are identical to thousands I see regularly when diving here in Guernsey. Are they the same species? As we often find them in rock pools far warmer than the 25 C that I have in my tank, do you think they might be kept in captivity? If quarantined properly do you forsee any problems? Also, is there any merit in feeding my tank with the fine sea weed/ algae I find here or again is it not worth the risk? Just interested..... Andy

I have two Atlantic Nems and they cost me £12.50 each, I really don't see the point in risking your whole tank to save a few quid. The same goes for the sea weed/algae, on Ebay I buy 20 sheets of green nori seaweed for £2.99. Is there any point in risking all.
