I'm looking at Coralvue lamps with Lumenarc reflectors and want to balance what's best for my livestock with viewing aesthetics. I do like the clean look that plenty of blue light gives but don't want it to be OTT.

Mmm. No one has an opinion on lighting then?

lighting is soooo subjective, most of the silverbacks on here will say 14 k is a good compromise.... I only have a small tank (or a big nano) i have just upgraded to a 250 watt with twin actinics fron a 150..... I have gone for a 20k arcadia lamp and i am very happy with the result.. it is very crisp... i only need to run the actinics sunrise and sunset..

I guess the other considerations would be tank depth and stock type

Personnaly id opt for the 10K punch and T5 suppliment rather than compromise..

Hi i currently run lumenarcs with 400 watt icecap ballasts i'm using XM 10K's at the moment and i'm going to suppliment with antinics. But i've run for the last few months with just the halides.
You'll be glad you opted for the Lumenarcs they are the dogs *******s!
