On Craigs request a new thread :D as opposed to hijacking Daves.

A rep for AM told me about this a few months ago, due to launch shortly in the UK.

Apparently it is very similiar in design and function to the aquatronica model, but don't expect the same level of service or development that we currently enjoy from Aquatronica.

Can be seen here on the AM link, scroll down the page a bit.

thanks, interesting, weird how the technology looks similar (the same even) allbeit far uglier.

The controller looks like a toy.

Hi,

The AM is using USB as well, similar commercially available hub so thats why. As far as I am aware, it will sit alongside there other controllers and dosing pumps so its unlikely that they will develop quite as much as Aquatronica. After all AM have a lot more stuff to work on, Aquatronica have, well Aquatronica! (at the moment:D !)

It is true someoff the things aquatronica have in developement are very interesting.

Are aquatronica going to be developing their own dosing pumps etc.

Also when is the web module being released as that has to be a massive boost.

Hi,

The ethernet module beta testing samples will be in within the next 10 days (anyone excited j**r). Full productiuon samples should be in the shops by the end of September, but demand (worlwide, ie USA)is higher than the first deliveries so let your shop know that you want one and get one reserved.

The three channel dosing pump will be out at the same time. Supply shouldnt be a problem, but reserve one just incase! A single dosing pump is also planned.

The water presence sensor and interface will again be launched at the same time.

The SMS text alert will follow a couple of weeks later, now this you really do need to order, as the states wanted 250 straight of, thats more than the first production run. I have ordered quite a few, but I am only expecting to get a quarter of what I want.

Longer term, calcium testing is going very well, beta test samples will be out in the new year/spring. Dimming T5/T8 ballasts will be out just before.

Beyond that, software for nitrite/nitrate and the interfaces are done, long term probe testing is just starting, phosphate and ammonia are being looked at. Complete light units with all bulbs dimming, storms, cloud cover etc are at the 'idea' stage. Bulbs form the Fauna Mairn range would likely be used.

A full range of other electricals is planned, but they will have to remain secret for now:D

hmmmmm maybe not, the scary bit is that everything available or soon to be available I can see I will be wanting, bar maybe the SMS module (and thats only cause to me the web module will be more use).
