ive had a chalk goby for about 9 months or so and he was pretty fat when i got him but the last few months he's gone really skinny.

i feed a mixture of frozen foods such as brineshrimp, tubeflex, bloodworm, daphnia and also cyclopeze.

he doesnt seem that interested in any of them.
i know he gets his food from sifting the sand bed but ive also got a sand sifting starfish, i was thinking theres not enough food for both of them?

what can i feed him to fatten him up?

cheers

Unfortunately they have an extremely ppor survival record and rarely last more than a year in the best of cases. IMO they shouldnt be sold. :(

Yes as above

I'd suggest you stopped feeding tubifex, bloodworm and Daphna, good freshwater foods as they are, they have completely the wrong nutritional profile for marine fish.

Instead try some of the decdicated marine foods such as krill, mysis, squid, cockle and lance fish (there is a huge range out there) as well as some of the specialist blends designed for herbivorous, omnivorous and carnivorous marine fish species. I'd also suggest you tried a marine flake or pelleted food too
