Hi, can you tell me if twin 55w T5's (Blue/white) would be strong enough for a Haitian Reef nem?

Not sure what type of anemone that is - do you have it's correct name?

depends on the depth of the tank..., i would say that you are at the very minimum, i personally wouldnt put a nem in a tank with that lighting

also following your last nem thread .. you do know your clowns wont host a condy dont you...

Still think you might need a little bit more lighting mate

I no im gonna get beat down for this but hear goes.

righty...... i was out of the keeping fish loop for almost 3 1/2 years (wasint big on the net)
Decided to pick it up agein so i came on the forums for the first time and boom everyone was all anti-nem....lol

Now i was pretty  ........ ive seen ppl using t8 for nemz (not a HUGE deal but i still think its dodgy)

Nemz are heafty water quality/feeding dependant

Its all about stability and quality.

The Condylactis genus are pretty hardy as long as there well cared for(true about everything :p)
I once seen one that got major burnt up with a heater im talking tenticals, bit of the foot oaft! looked like a sore one and it recovered well!

Good luck on your nem adventures!

Personally i would'nt have one

I first started out with a condy under t5's and it was fine. Do tend to move around abit more than other nems but easy to keep and feed well on frozen stuff.
It now resides in a tank with 150 watt halides and has settled in a shady spot.
Other nems such as ritteri do ok under t5's. I have 2 under 4 x deltec 60/40 tubes in 16" high tank. Both growing well and the clowns love em.

I've had a Condy for just under a month now. I moved it into my 2nd tank today while I carried out big maintenance (and uncovered my powerheads). Lo and behold, my Skunk Clown has moved into it !!!!
