In my last setup i had a plating monti that was as purple as possible and sadly lost 99% of it due to what i can only describe as the brown domitis(sp) that occurs when cycling a new tank ( this tanks now 4 months old) , it's now shown up on my new lime green plating monti, now i havent added the purple to this set up yet but dont want this one to go the same way so any help pls ????
All other montis and sps fine ????
The photos show what look like little brown strands

Any help as this is just this morning and if i dont "clean" the coral with a turkey baster then i think this will take over and kill the coral just as it did my purple in last system.
My prams are
ph 8.0 to 8.3 depends on time of day
Calcium 425ppm and stable
Amm 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
nitrate 0ppm
Mag 1380 to 1400 think this due to mag released from reactor media
kh 9-10dkh
mv/orp 395to 440 depending on feeding glass cleaning etc etc
temp 27- 27.5 degrees
salinity1.023 via refractometer
