here is my nano its about a year old,i have been stocking it very slowly, havnt even got any fish yet lol, lighting consists of a 150 watt mh with 13k bulb, the more blue pictures are taken today when i was testing to see if my old 55watt t5s work,i like the blue pictures better so i might change mh bulb to a 20 or 50 k

yeah i know but i have no idea what colour they give out,i would think a 20k is going to be far more white than that, but then i am slightly woried that a 50k maybe too blue
Hmm ive never heard of 50k been used! this is past my lighting knowledge! i suppose if you just have softies and lps it could be tried?

i have seen them for sale but never used,i presumed they wouldnt be too blue,i just see a lot of 20k bulbs that tend to look very white.

i am trying to open up some space for some monti caps, that is also why i have the horrible 13k mh bulb back in,can anyone reccomend a bulb that gives a nice crisp white/blue light? preferably under 14k.
cheers
