Whats peoples thoughts on stand alone temp control?

I'm thinking of using a Habistat thermostat for the heater, and and a cool control for my fan. - about £60 all in.

Are there any other options I should be looking at?

For plug and play on a budget, those are good options. If you want slightly higher tech but needs DIY then look at LAE controllers. For higher tech then you get onto the aquarium computers which cost big bucks. Then there are the various chillers etc........a bunch of options to decide from.

thanks mr fish - i'm an electrical engineer, so diy is no prob at all. any links to the LAE stuff?

Thanks again, mr fish. I've previously perused the above posts in my research. my budget doesn't quite reach to the digi gear - i'll go with the trusted analouge stuff for now..
