Since adding Tunze 6080 my Frogspawn has gone downhill. Could be coincidense of course, but ususally when you change something and another thing starts struggling there must be a connection.

It's much smaller than before and I thought I could see it's mouth. on closer inspection it may not be a mouth tho, can see skeleton aswell. The pic is crap as batteries died and will get better after they recharge.

The frogspawn looks like it has two "mouths" but one looks to be getting wider.

Hi,
Keep the frogspawn away from strong flow mate as they retract if near it.The frogspawn should look like its doing a gentle sway from side to side nothing more.

Yeah, I moved it to a low flow place once i noticed it, but it's not recovering too quickly. It was never getting blasted by the Tunze.

If your nitrates have climbed to high that could cause it also.

leave it in low flow area, it usualy takes a few days to sort its self out. i've got two 6100's that really rattle mine about now and then {it is in low flow} i think mine is getting used to being blown around.

Check your ALK and Cal are ok too if you've not done so already.

What lighting are you using and how far is the coral from the light?

Could it be forming a new head?
The pics looks very bright, I have mine just under an overhang on a rock just off the sandbed, it gets a bit of flow and expands at least ten times its size in the day, i also feed it twice a week along with my torch and rics.

Here's another pic after being moved to a higher but lower flow spot.

That looks too bright to me, try it on the bottom in the sand.
Mines only under 1 x t8 white and 1 x t8 blue and is a deep pea green colour
Bottom left thats just after feeding so its only 2/3rds expanded.

It looks bright because of the camera. I'm sure there's plenty of colour variation anyway (in frogspawns).
