tronica pc interface

Hi guys
Got my aquatronica all plugged up and working with temp/ph interface,s...
plugged pc interface in ran disc and it wont connect?
plug and play Hmmm!!!
I must be missing some thing?
Any ideas please help:confused:

Are you trying to check for new software via the internet update from the file memu or are you just trying to connect the PC to the power bar???????

im trying to connect the pc to the powerbar tronica? "DONE" but when i try to connect to the tronica from the pc it wont connect from one to the other "SO" no connection is showing ?
Its got me stumped swapped ports over the lot , may be its faulty?

Not sure I understand the first bit of your post.

So you have everything connected up, PC to plugbar?????

You then click on the third Icon (looks like the tronica base unit) and it should connect.

If it doesn't try the cable in the other usb ports one at a time.

Have you got 1 or 2 plug bars?

I have 1 plug bar ph/temp/redox probes running they are all picked up by the controller and working.
But when i have connected my p.c controller sorftware( in all usb ports i might add )
then press on the icon that looks like the aquatronica controler it comes back saying "Unable to connect to the system:check the connection"
ANY IDEAS guys before i have to send it back?
I am use'ing the data/usb kit that came with it in a spare 9pin serial port on my pc to the plug bar usb ports on the power bar - so the connection seems fine?

Take one of the interfaces out and try the PC connection in to that USB port.

Sounds silly but also wiggle it around to ensure its fully in to the socket. I have pushed things in to the plug bar before thinking they are right in and they haven't been.

in the settings on aqua software try changing the comm port from from auto

mine only connects on comm 5 and not on auto you might have to try going through ports 1 by 1 and trying to connect

Have you loaded the software that came with the USB adapter?

removed software and re installed it over and over,
Only thing i can think is its the 9pin serial plug that goes into my p.c ?
But im not sure wich com port it is?

You must install the USB driver software, then the Aquatronica software. Plug them all in and it should be fine.

If you mean the software disk it came with then yes many times
will have another try now before i send it back!!!
And tell you exactly what it says ?

The disk that came with the USB, there are two disks in total that you have to load.

The USB adapter came with a disk as well, this is so your computer recognises the new hardware(the USB adapter). Without this your PC wont know there is anyhting attached to the USB port.

Is it the USB adapter that comes in a pink box? Check the pacakaging, its in a foam type packet, inside the pink box.

No i have the pack beside me: its the serial interface cod.ACQ220 + A usb cable 2d and the aquarium controller software SW V.4.0.0.84-FW V.2.10

My serial connection works fine, but knowing serial as I do, I wouldnt discount problems at the PC end.

hellow tweetypie i am having the same problim and have tried everything tried serisl port usb port and still can not get it conected have decided to give up

Joe, switch the lap top / PC on, open the tronica software on the machine then connect to the plug bar, works first time like this.

i used to connect everything up then open the software and it would always struggle to connect.

Yeah.
Sort of like that jobr said above,
Only i have to plug aquatronica serial port in - then turn pc on and then load the software "accusition is aquired as they say"
But it works like this everytime

I actually leave the PC connection cables in the plug bar now, just stored neatly out of site behind the tank.

Then when i want to do anything its quick and easy following the above.

yes just done it and it is a great bit of kit now just need a new skimmer any ideas on wich one is best
