florida fighting conch

i recently bought 1 of these conch's.

it just sits at the bottom of the tank all the time digging its self into the sand bed.

is this normal behaviour, as i thought they were a bit more active.

if i pick it up and move it then its moving for a good few hours munching the sand bed and the windows but eventually it just rests in the sand bed.

this conch is about 2 - 3inches long. its a fair size.

Yes that's normal behaviour lots of time spent in the sand and then a flurry of activity. Mine will spend a couple of days out and about and then disappear, thought they were gone for good more than once.:D HTH.
