Can any one recommend some Short but strong lighting T5 is what im looking at due to heat issues.

I have a space which measure about 11" x 11"

what sort of tubes can i get into that? and where can i buy them?

Aqualigth does mini T5 single and double from 4W to 6W to 8w
I think the 6w is only 11"

Take a look at the ASL 18W compacts, in an 11"x11" square area you should be able to fit four of them with external ballasts. They do run hot though, as so all PC compacts.

looks like its gonna have to be ASL stuff, but a bit pricey.

am i right in thinking that the ballast and control gear is built in? or is that seperate?

have a look on ebay, i got a 2 x 18 watt pc electronic ballast for a fivet

will keep an eye out. Might head to the LFS tonight and have alook at what they have.
