View Full Version : anyone got gobies?
I hear that greenbanded gobies (Elacatinius multifasciatus) often spawn in captivity - has anyone managed to raise any - I'm after some.
I had okinawe gobies that spawned regularly, I didn't try to raise the fry though. A fascinating fish that was a bit destructive to sps but well worth the sacrifice
Lisa Page tried raising these and documented it all on reefhaven.
I'm off there now then!
I've been reading a thread on RC about them too.
cracking read that - she managed to raise sexy shrimps too!

Looks like my chances of getting any of those gobies in the UK are quite slim though...
Taunton Aquarium Centre had a few last time I was in (a couple of weeks ago?). Called them "Christmas Island Gobies"(????) and wanted £20 each. Worth their weight in gold (literally)!!
