Hi All
I bought a couple of lettuce slugs about 6 weeks ago. Sadly I lost one of them to a powerhead but I noticed that in a few places in the tank there were egg coils.
Whilst looking in the tank tonight I have noticed at least 4 baby lettuce slugs on the rocks eating algae.

Hi
Just charging batteries on the camera. Just had another look in the tank and there are lots of them. Was hoping to get some pics tonight but am waiting for one to come in clear view as they are very small. Lights go off in 5 mins but I will try and get a pic.
Millie
Just tried taking a few pics but the main lights are off and the pictures are no good. Will try again tommorow when the main lights are on.

After quite a few attempts this is the best we could get. It is in the top middle of the picture.

Excellent news - congratulations !! ;) :)
John
Thanks. They are less than 1cm long at the moment, so I hope they will be okay.

Nice one Millie, we've had them breed at the shop and found that providing you've enough food source they wioll be fine and grow. They're also photosynthetic IIRC so will get energy from your lighting too. Just watch those powerheads.
well done
those look so cute
hope they do well

I saw my lettuce slug apparently chasing its tail before I left for lunch on Friday. When I came back there was a perfect spiral of eggs on the glass. Typically they were right in the middle of the front piece of glass, so I've moved them to my refugium.
Fingers crossed they will be okay.
BTW Congratulations on the new arrivals!
hi there congrats on your new off spring:D :D i was looking at the letuce slug a couple of weeks ago to buy are they ok with all corals in the tank do they need any special care?
thanks nog:)
Hi
Yes they are fine with corals. They only eat bryopsis as far as I know. People have reported that they have starved to death when they run out. Several of my babies have ended up in the sump and I'm wondering if they are eating the cheato as they seem to be clinging to that.
Be very carefull with streams and powerheads as they tend to float around the tank alot especially if you have high flow.
