We've never had a starfish and quite fancy one now, question is which one!

Like the look of either a red/orange Fromia or a serpent sea star, any advice to sway us one way or the other?

Next question is, how well would they fare mail-order since my LFS seems only to have a blue linkia which we're not willing to take on.

The prospective new home is a 6year old 6x2x2 reef, no other starfish but one pin cusion urchin, pair of regal tangs, clown and a boxing shrimp.

Yep, don't go for the linka, even if u do manage to acclimatize them, they would probable starve over a few months. v. hard IMO

The normal grey sand sifting star is a good one, I think. I'v had one for about a year and is now very fat- fun to watch too.
