my nem did this today when i got home is there a problem or is it just being normal also only change in tank was a ph rise of 8.4
Hi, Thats normal....they also seem to expand and shrink in size also. I have had mine for about 2 years now and it does that now and again....sometimes after eating something...so check to see if something missing....mine did eat a coral beauty about a year ago. I dont think they are as popular as the BTA's (so might not get that much response here) but they seem quite hardy. It's also home to my clowns.
From the pic I can see that your anemone has attached so thats good. It might still wander around at some point. Mine did a tour of the tank and settled back in its original spot initially. I feed mine a prawn or 1-2 mussels once a week....and it seems pretty happy with that.
Colour might change a bit depending on light. Mine was brown under my power compacts...then got a greenish tinge under halides. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply i give it a prawn every 2 or 3 days and yes somedays i come home and it is huge , but i placed it there and it pushed all the rocks out of its way and its foot is deep under the rock on the pic but hasnt mooved, im still hoping it wont as my seios still need covering :D
Well, it seems like its settling down there. It likes to bury its foot into the substrate or in between rocks....mine initially buried its foot into my sandbed but its now pushed itself in between some rocks. And yeah, watch those seios, mine got a bit mangled by my seio about a year ago but it's recovered nicely.

woke up this morning and he was gone
behind the back of the rocks. I think the water change last night or light change going back a hr has upset him and now he is at the back i mooved the rocks a little to feed him and he still grabbed 2 prawns, so looks good so far but how can i get him to move back without doing it by hand :D thanks again

Leave it alone!
It will come out of it's own accord when it's good and ready. Trying to move it yourself will only stress it, and of course there's the risk of injuring it.

when i got home from work it had moved back around to the front of the rock work again but into a new spot, i think i solved the problem as i had too much flow in my tank

dont worry about it if it is taking food just leave it and it will find a place in the tank where its comfortable.if an anemone is not happy in the spot you place it, it will move about and there is very little you can do to prevent it.derek
