Got a pink tip anemone for my tank about two month ago
only had my tank set up about 3 months

the shop i purchased it from said they are rel easy to keep.
Just recently i noticed that the clear part of it's tentincles? maybe i called them the wrong thing!!! have gone a pinky brown colour on the last inch.

Is this normal?

I have also found my nitrates to be slightly High which i am attending to!

Could this be the problem?

Any help or guides in the right direction would be very very gratefull

To be honest as long as it's colouring up I would say it's in good health. To be honest though no anemone is easy to keep and I would be wary of buying things from your LFS if they told you they are. Make sure that you read up on anything you buy for the tank before taking it home.

Mine's coloured slightly. As long as it's attached to the same place more or less and is eating ok, I wouldn't worry too much.

agreed...i had a pink tip malu for best part of 6mnths, it did really well, my clown fish lived in it....

then oneday for no apparent reason it died and poisoned my corals....but my water was always ok

i then a few years later got a green carpet anenome, again it was fine but then it decided to walk into my seio powerhead and become soup....

again damagin water.....

they are lovely creatures but unless ur tank is specfiically desinged for them, they get to unpredictabel to keep

as long as it has good colour and is not bleached it should be okay.if its a malu it will need metal halide lighting.these are not the easiest anemones to keep.they are best kept in a tank without corals.derek
