Have been offered a juvenile for £20 and am wondering if anyone has had success with weening them off sof corals and onto more reef friendly foods?

by weening off do you mean its already sampling soft corals if so then i think your on to a looser once they got the taste they are usually away from what ive heard. I have a juve at the moment which is OK but just got rid of a juve Koran because it took a liking to my euphylia hit and miss but worth the risk as long as its not a know nipper IMO

I know a few people that keep them in a reef with little or no problem.

I tried it and gave up when, in addition to chomping on a nice bubble coral, it started attacking any fish that came near.
