my yellow i tang has a few scales missing with a red mark underneath (prob skin colour) what should i do? eating OK etc
Possibly fighting, possibly a parasite I'd just wait and see and keep us posted
As always a photo would be helpful
also you have 2 tangs in together in a rio 180 maybe some fighting as a little cramped, I bigger tank would help.
only have 1 tang or is a cbeauty a sort of one?

can tget any of em out but at least the clowns are kept in place as thety have bullied and killed all my others - but as the tang is a lot larger that hasnt happened when i lok in the tank etc they just steer clear of him

my cameras are somewhere in my flat - however the tang is buzzin aroud the tank and so it might be scratches or scrapes and it hasnt got worse
just after posting this i noticed my tang in the clowns area where he let the female up to him where she wiuld give him a few nips on the body and then he would turn aroungd and she would do the same on the other side....it doesnt look like there was agression by tang or the tang was freaked as he was just there - taking it so to speak. and has a few extra marks on him now!!!!!! weird or what
a bit like a fish wanting to be cleaned by a shrimp!
it is just like my cats when they are grooming each other - however the clown is doing the grooming and he just keeps going back to the clown
Odd behaviour but it would explain the marks keep an eye on it and keep us posted
i'm guessing that when it does this the pectoral and dorsal fins are fully extended?
the tang isnt in attack position or anything nor is there any bullying going on - - it seems that he is enjoying it!!!!!
