sick porkie puffer

ive had a porckupine puffer for over a year and late last night noticed he had a piece of mussel shell hanging out of his bum.

left him overnight hoping it would pass through but it hasnt and hes looking all sad in a corner with his tail bent round..

what can i do???? should i net him and try to help it out???? will it pass through in time????

Is he eating? If so give him lots of small meals with krill and shrimp skin peelings etc with indigestible chitin/chitosan in it that should loosen him up a bit
