Hi folks, as some of you know the new magazine Ultramarine will be launched shortly, well December the 15th to be exact. I said to Keiran that to help launch it I would sell the first couple of issues through the Reefworks website. The magazine will retail at £3.75 and I think postage and packing will be about £1.50.
What I was hoping you would be able to tell me is what sort of interest would there be from UR members for the magazine? Don't forget you will be able to get the magazine from your LFS but if I can get an idea of numbers of those that think they would order it through the Reefworks website if they cant get to an LFS easily or don't want a subscription for it then I will have a better idea how many to order in.
I am really looking forward to the magazine coming out, something a bit more in-depth than others but still easily readable by all and if the photography is as good as it sounds then it should look stunning too.
Anyway, this is the cover of the first edition (bar a couple of small changes)........

Clayton having read the other threads on this, my guess is most will pick it up in the LFS or have already taken out a subscription.

Off the top of my head I think Alf is doing pest organisms on live rock, fenner on triggerfish, bourneman on an in depth coral husbandry piece, me on larval fish rearing techniques and also the use of ozone in reef aquaria, michael on the wrasse family I think.
There will also be smaller articles etc.
Yes most people will pick up from their LFS, and the subsctiption is a good deal through the U.M. website. Anybody who cant or does not want to get them either of those ways can get at least the first couple of isues through the Reefworks website. :)

The website is working, I think it was just down for a couple of days whilst some changes were made.
