My green hammer is getting a bit too big now and is starting to get too close to my other corals in my nano and is developing some nasty sweeper tentacles. I really like the coral so don't want to get rid of it completely. Therefore, how do I frag it?

Thanks.

Is it a branching or one long skeletal structure?

Its one big wavy structure approximately 6 inches long at its longest and 4 nches at its widest. When it expands fully its a bit of a beast.

Very nice tank mate! It isnt easy to frag but from what ive read(havent done it myself) you can stick an elastic band around the point you want to frag.Over the course of a few weeks the flesh should divide at that point. You can then hacksaw or dremel the skeleton at that point to frag the beast.Whilst doing this you should keep the head in bowl of tank water. The main thing to watch out for is a brown jelly infection whilst the laccy band is doing its work.
There may be others that want to add other suggestions so hang fire as there maybe an easier way but if there is im not aware of it.

Cheers for the compliment! I'm trying to get it to look as good as rockpoolie's, his is really cool. I'll hold fire for now and fence it off with a bit of rock. If anyone else has any suggestions pop them down. Otherwise its gonna be a laccy band and hacksaw job.
