Hi everybody,
I'm about to embark finally setting up a new tank after being dry for almost 15 months (sad, I know...)
The working plan is for 18x18x18 cube with CLS ala FISH & Jemram, however, I will be adding a Tunze NanoReef pack (filter and skimmer combo system) to the tank and a nano stream or two just for that added extra flow http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif
What I want to know, as I don't really like the whole mechanical filtration side of things - the filter unit that comes with the nano pack, I'm thinking of removing the media etc from this and using this space to house my heater and for the float switch for the auto topoff. The nice thing with this filter unit it is surface skimmer which means it will help with maintaining a stable water level. basically the Reefpack 500 system has all this built in (Might even go with the 500 over the nano pack - it isn't much bigger, just waiting on some prices at this stage).
So what do you think of my proposed mod? Any thoughts, suggestions?
