Hi All im new on here so be gentle;) .
I currently run a 190ltr freshwater tank, but would like to setup a Nano reef, I have kept marines before so have experience with marines and I understand running smaller tanks can be a lot trickier.
Ok i have spotted a 40L cube tank in a LFS it come with an internal filter and a 18W light unit I believe its made by Aqua Qube is this tank suitable I really hope so as it will look great on my table next to the sofa.
Right from what I understand the internal filter is prob not needed, I will be adding a powerhead at least 3* the turnover of the tank is this correct?.
Live Rock will provide the filtration. Im worried will the light unit will not be man enough for the job as I would like to keep some soft corals(2 small clowns).Any advice welcomed.

you need 20* turnover as a ball park figure mate and also i would upgrade light

18 watt of light should be ok for softies mate and bump the above for circulation!!

Ok say I go for the 40L cube, can someone give me a recommendation of powerhead(s) to put in this cube, also the same with the lighting(may need upgrading).I will be doing 10% water changes weekly using RO water. All advice welcomed.

You can use a maxijet power head - 30x flow with the 1200l/h

Cheers just found in my old box of fish bits a powerhead 900lph, so im thinking that plus the internal filter with filter wool and rowaphos (internal) should be a good combination. I also have from a small nano tank from AZOO a HOB filter, so again may come in handy with some filter wool to help clean the water, any thoughts folks?....
