Hi people, thought id share a few snaps i got of some nems on the shore line of Ibiza last May:

There were hundreds of them, I would say 10% were out of the water at times.

The purple tip'd nems look nice, may even be atlantic nems but I could be wrong :rolleyes:
Yes, I too thought they looked like Atlantic nems.
so these nem's don't go raving and have multiple partners then? pity
....
Hate to ruin the exotic trip but these two species are the same as we have around the UK coastline, or maybe at the very least a slight variation :confused: !!!
The red one is the Beadlet Anemone, Actina equina.
The other is the Snakelocks, Anemonia viridis.

Beadlet nems - not suitable for our tanks tho. They require colder tanks (still warm, but not as warm as ours)
I was miss sold 2 when i first started out, one laster about 3 weeks the other lasted about 4 months but never really opened. Then after alot of reading around i found out the real truth, they require colder water :(
