Hey guys,
Bought a regal tang off a buddy and 6 anthias 5 days ago.Tang showing signs of spots, about 15/18.I have been told that they suffer from stress and get :stress spots: occasionally and not to worry as it is feeding ok and the rest of stock is ok.I.E. 5 yellow tangs,1 sailfin cherub angel and nummerouse other fish.Cheers Allan.

What kind of spots?

What type of tank reef or fish only? (makes a difference if you decide to treat)

Any chance of a photo?

If it is marine white spot this is a parasitic disease and is not caused by stress

Yes treating a reef is a last resort.

UV (and ozone) is a good choice, as is the 50 micron bag (where did you get one?)

again what type of spots do the fish have? and any chance of a photo?

I agree with Dr Bee but it's a tough question to give advise on as there is always the chance of the white spot spreading, but if it were mine and it was feeding OK and the other fish were not showing any signs of infection I would leave the Regal to settle in and not stress it any more than it already is. My Regal had White spot a few times but it always cleared up in 48 hours without any medication.

John.
