Had this coral for a good three months and have fragged it due to growing to big but not lately.

Over the last few days it has gone like this and seems to be getting worse....

Any ideas? I moved it two days ago because i noticed this but moving has made no difference.

Edit* The closed up heads are actually a lot darker irl but the flash has made them look better.

Any help?

What's your ALK/Calcium running at? Could it have fallen?

Well, ever since setting up I have had alk problems but over a period of a few weeks I managed to dose it to acceptable levels.

Calc has never really been a problem but I do dose.

I raised alk to 9dkh and it started rapidly dropping again so I have dosed my top up to compensate. Althoug a little low it is 7.8 atm.

I have one frag which seems to shrink down then comes back up again. Another frag in the same tank (same parent) doesn't seem to do this nearly as much. Low alk certainly doesn't seem to help. Have you tried feeding - maybe perk it up a bit? Also has it moved position - maybe the lower polyps are getting less light?
