My medusa coral seems to be out-growing the tank, I'm looking at cuting it back and possibly fraging it, but I'm concerned about the rest of my corals in the tank including LPS and SPS.

Does anyone have any advice or should I try to sell it on

Cheers, Jim.

what i would do:

get a small piece of rock/milliput disk/cockle shell etc etc.

cut medusa with a sharp pair of shears/scissors at the trunk.

then secure to the desired base (will come to this in a sec)

run carbon if you don't usually and do a water change if a small tank as a wounded coral does chuck out some crap.

to secure to a base there are a few methods.

1) dry the base of the coral with a kitchen towel, easier said than done but does dry eventually, add a blob of super glue-gel, hold coral against base and wait a few seconds for glue to go off, holding the head of the coral under the surface of your tank water. then place in an area of low flow for a few days to make sure it has bonded.

2) take coral frag and pierce through pase with a cocktail stick going right through it at 90 degrees to the trunk. place end of coral on to base, take elastic band and loop over one end of cocktail stick, over rock then over other end of cocktail stick to secure it. ove a week or two the new coral base will attach itself to the rock.

3) place rock/milliput/shell in the bottom of a sufficiently large glass. fill with tank water, lower coral frag in and jiggle so it sits how you want it, gently lower the glass into your sump and leave it there for a fortnight. the coral will attach itself quite happily.

4) place coral on rock in your tank where you want it, then place an 'onion bag' over the top and secure to rock wilh elastic bands. the net is just to hold the coral over the rock buit allow light and flow through, after a week or two remove the bag and the coral should be attached.

OK, cheers Scoob. I think I'll go for option 3 and see how it goes, it sounds simple and easy enough:D .

Thanks again, Jim.
