As this version only has 24w lighting that will probably need upgrading and if the supplied pump is the same as the D&D 800lph then another pump wouldn't go amiss. I've replaced the supplied pump with a MJ1200 and put the supplied one into chamber one pumping back out into the main display. That would give about 28xhr turnover. I've also got a tunze mini pump in the tank for even more flow taking mine to 33xhr. I run rowaphos and purigen in the rear compartments and also have live rock rubble and chaeto in the middle chamber.

hello there welcome to ultimatereef.

They are a few members here with the 24g nanos, the first thread is very good because it also gives the costs of what extras are needed, you will need a extra powerhead in there yes.

I may have a brand-new D-D nano 24 hood up for sale, as I have decided to MH the tank instead. Not too sure on the price though....but would be nice to put the money back towards the halide unit.... keep an eye out on the Equipment section.. or PM me.

Specs are 2X 36 W 50/50 compact T5 bulbs
2X Blue LED lights
All controlled separately.
External remote electronic ballasts.

When did you get yours - just wondering if there's been an upgrade as the power for my leds was dependant on the ballast box being powered up whcih meant a mod to allow the led to be put on a seperate timer. Have you still got the lid switch for the leds as well?
