hi and happy new year to all.

i have a hammer coral that has a couple of dead head on it on one branch been like it since i bought it but would like to tidy it up.
do i just cut the branch or will this damage the reat of the coral which is healthy.

Dead branches can be safely broken off as long as you don't damage the live tissue on the other heads.

thanks john is it best to cut them of with scissors or snap them ?

I think hacksaw is best, that way you make sure it doesn't fracture where you don't want it to. I wouldn't have thought scissors would do it.

Might be worth leaving it there, as they do regenerate quite often.

recently purchased a torch off someone that has a few dead heads...one head is now growing back already
