I have bought a frag of about 40 polyps of this colony. where would be the ideal location for this frag and which feeding requirements it may have.
also any other tips for keeping this.

when you brought it where did they have it, if it looked good for them try to put it in the same location and all hopefully will be well, there is another thread on feeding these but i believe people are feeding all sorts to them, i feed mine some of what i am feeding the fish at the time.

Have a look at my tank. I have some of this with the exception that mine is green and purple.

Have a look where it is placed and where the powerheads/halide is. It has opened loads and grown loads of heads.

I have a frag of this coral in my tank and am confused as have heard/read conflicting views about wether it needs high or low flow???

If anyone could justify would be great. Mine was a 2 head frag and now a 4...even thats starting to split again slowly...

at the moment it sits slightly lower down in the tank with just comfortable flow

the colony in the picture belongs to me and it started off as 3 heads, i have never fed the coral in 2 years, it has always been in the lower half of my tank under 3x 250w halides, it does not like direct flow but the tank has 40x turnover so it seems to like decent flow to flourish , as it had over 60 heads at one point.
hope that helps
