hi i am tring to breed my 2" clowns ;) in a 10 gallon tank there showing all of breading and the feamale bely is starting to swell up how meny day will it be untill they breed :D
It's really difficult so say:rolleyes: . Sometimes they appear to showing spawning behaviour but it just never happens for some reason or another. Generally though if the conditions are correct then Percs or Occelaris clowns will spawn after 6-12 months of being introduced to the tank but Maroons can take longer, up to 2 years in some cases.
If the female is very swollen and looks like she is about to burst then that is normally a good sign that a spwning will happen in the next few days.
Bob.

Get yourself a copy of Joyce D. Wilkerson's book "Clownfishes a guide to their captive care and breeding" it really is woth every penny. Published by TFH isbn 1-890087-04-1
From another post
If youv'e cleaned a second hand tank out with household bleach and rinsed it throughly and i mean throughly, could that tank be used for marines or not?
I've never seen a tank rinsed 'throughly' before
Some people aren't too good at spelling, it's not nice when someone takes the **** is it.
