Well, up came the self proclaimed 'Kent massive' to the 'grim noorth' on a typically cold, drizzly and windy night.

With them they brought a creature of great beauty, and gave it to me in a large bucket. :p

So, Chris (Maidstone Mary), Scott (Scoob) and Tony (Reef Bloke) came to Barnsley, why why why you ask yourselves? Well, this little beaut had gone walkabouts in Chris's tank and as he has a huuuuuuuuuge magnifica he didnt want to risk anything. So he gave it to me and in return! :D

And here it is...

Instantly the foot was put down, although it did move around slightly after lights off which is to be expected.

Wonderfull colouration on this specimin, I cant capture it in pics (we all know that anyway), but I've tried. Speaking of pics, check my thread below later as Tony and Scott took many, and seemed to quite enjoy seeing who could beat the other - Scott with a million takes at once, Tony waiting patiently, then BAM! Obviously trying to get inside the Hawkfishes mindset, good plan I thought.

Also, dont forget about the SOTM thread in photography section. :D

Dan

Great to meet you yesterday Dan,thanks for the warm welcome, lovely cube you have.It was great to be able to make contact with our nothern reefy brothers, even though we had to watch a few episodes of Corry and last of the summer wine before we left so we could get tuned in.
We did try to locate a translator but alas we couldnt trace one at such short notice.;)
Anyway heres a few picies of the tank, very clean and well looked after may i add.:) :)
The Kent massive have invaded again, where will it all end!

Chris (Maidstone Mary)

Oi! Don't you start with that too. I get enough s*#! from this lot down here!

Have just sent you a PM to see how it was doing and then spotted this! Glad to hear it's okay. We can now cross Barnsley off the list of places we've not been too! Nice to meet you all!

Tony - stunning pictures. That hawkfish is a cracker! Now we need scott to post a few of the gazillion pictures he took!

Cheers

Chris

Thought I'd post up a couple of recent ones to show development. You can see in one photo how much light they like, its right under the 400w halide :D

those kentish muppets are getting everywhere i tells ya. surely they've got enough women and shandy down there, and don't need to go bothering poor innocent porn lovin' pot smokin' dutch people. and then have the nerve to come up this way. i sense an invasion boys. keeping them peeled next time i go to the lfs for kermit, rolf, animal and the likes.

Too right, he's a great help to teh clean up crew, like a bulldozer! :D

The bubbles were very noticable on previous trips back home, but in those pics it would seem the bubbles are decreasing very slowly, no idea why. Although, I am tempted to get a pair of small clowns to host it - one of the stunning sights of the sea imo.

Cheers Tony :)

Yeah its got about a bit! Do you know every tank its been in? I cant remember past yours fella.
