View Full Version : Poorly Toadstool or just sulking??
I have a a toadstool in my tank which has been there around 4 weeks, at firstr it stayed quite closed up and didnt look to happy but soon relaxed and started to level out and cover the rock i had placed it near. The polyps didnt extend fully although were clearly visable accross the head. I thought it was starting to adapt nicely unitl ive noticed in the last few days it has continued to relax on the rock and now looks more like a pancake drooped over it, also i have noticed a split on one side and some blotchy marks appearing on one the head and stalk seems to have shrunk. Is it decaying and dying? Doesnt look to happy? Is there anything i can do to help it? Its in medium to low flow and medium lighting . Thanks........ Lee
Its probably sulking/shedding,they do this a lot in the early weeks of a new tank, dont worry just yet:)
SOunds like it is on its last legs to me, I had one do this. Give it a week or so and if it hasnt improved you may have to get rid.
Mixed oppinions then??? Everything else in tank is fine? Any more help and advice would be appreciated as i dont want to leave it in there if its decaying etc. Would it be worth fragging it? Not sure and by no means an expert.

Give it some time, try not to disturb, betting it will be OK :)

Sounds fine M8, they can sulk for no reason, sometimes days, sometimes weeks.
