Nice one. Good to see so many. I have had one in my sump. My girlfriend and I watched it for a while and then it was gone, never to be seen again. That was about year ago....

Does this sound right....

Moon Jellyfish, Aurelia Aurita.... Roundish bell has scalloped edges and a distinctive cluster of four round packets within the center.

Outer scalloped edges of bell have a fringe of fine tentacles which capture food items and pass it to the stomach area. Bell is divided into eight sections and it is what pulses through the water. The circular packets are actually the gut where food is digested. Moons have four trailing oral arms.

Hi,

I've had them for ages in numbers of about 5-10 - i recently witnessed one spawning (about a week or so ago) the result seems to have been a population boom. They confine themselves the the refugium, and seem to cluster together. I have ID'd them as simple hydromedusae, they stay small, and cause no probs.

Music is Joanna Newsome - 'This side of the blue' , however it seems to jump a bit, hmmmm will try and sort that out.
