Never seen a hermit move so quick, or try to anyway. Poor fella. And the mantis was pretty freaky when it first jumped out :S

Yeah gotta love em, I think I would keep one in an acrylic rather than glass tank though!! ;)

thats HORRIBLE!:mad: the poor little crab was trying to get out! can't you see that this is morally wrong to feed a ravenous predator like this every animal deserves to live and so feed but that was awful! keeping one of them should be illegal the poor hermit crab was (and should of been) horrified! I think that was awfully bad taste.

although that thing isnt a nice colour he must spend a lot feeding it. look for mussels on the beach, but please no more hermit crabs!

Im not a vegetarian, but i think thats purposely destroying animal life for entertainment is wrong, especially when it is brutal. :(

Ninjafish's tank was the inspiration for my tank.

There is nothing to suggest the hermit was killed for 'entertainment'. However that is something you would see naturaly in the wild.

its no worse than feeding it with mussels from the beach which is what you suggested he do, they are living creatures too

I find the ethics behind being legal to feed inverts to fish etc, but you can't feed fish to fish, or something (live, this is). In my opinion life is life, and if it's part of the natural food chain it should not be removed etc?

fair play in the wrong place at the wrong time i think its only natural we kill pigs chickens cows ducks fish all the time is this wrong.
