Thanks that's an excellent read and have to say that finally someone else appreciates that Crypto is a parasite, a beatsie NOT a disease (bacterial/viral) or allergic reaction/rash as most folk seem to think.
I totally believe that you can have a White Spot free aquarium. If by following the precautions in the article the parasite is NOT in your system and the fish is NOT already infected when acquired even your Powder Blues will not "catch" White Spot regardless of water quality or other stressors. They can't catch something that does not exist.
Cheers,
Campbell
Great read Ian, Just the sort of thing I need! Tar!
When is the 2nd part comming out?

Tony - is that the first you've seen of this article?
I'm just curious as to how much visibility "news items" such as this actually get. I must admit that at the time (back at the beginning of February) I was rather taken aback at the relative lack of feedback upon announcing this.
Ian,
It's the first I've seen of it and I'm all over this board like beans on toast.
I'm sure most other reefers would embrace this; not only do you have to admire the work that went into this article, it's also the direction that the board is going in.
Perhaps there is a lack of awareness? Maybe when something special comes along like this, have a PM sent to all members who want to subscribe to news alerts?
Just an idea ;)
