View Full Version : How do i re-atach Button Polyps?.. (zoan's)
A few polyps have come away from the colony and are currently floating around the tank... I don't want to lose them so i would like to get them stuck somewhere else away from the main colony...
Hows best to do this... Left to their own devices they end up stuck on the Maxi-jet Intake....
wow! thanks for the speedy reply...
It has to be gel right!?... do i need to take the rock from out of the tank to do this?...
here is the main colony BTW....

any cynoacrylate glue will work just fine
what I would do is this
Take a piece of rock out the the tank and pat it dry with a kitchen towel, apply a small amount of super glue (aka cynoacrylate glue) take the zoas out the tank and place on the rock, leave for about a minute or so and then place back in the tank in a low flow area to start of with.
I find normal superglue too runny, the gel stuff works much better.
I use to buy brand name superglue gel from tesco but found this on ebay which is much cheaper, you get 20g of this for the same price as the brand named superglue gel which is only 3g
