well you wud be surprised at the amount of parents that are willing to pick up there children just so they put there hands in the water with "nemo" we find kids climbing up ladders nearly every day wont be entertaing one day went the cute little yellow one ie (foxface) knocks there kid out with a sting lol

thanks for the comments my hands were shredded moving all the rock about in the larger tank just waiting for it to settle back down

I'm curious what work you do?

First I was thinking it was a laid back office kind of job where they let you put up a small fish tank. Then there was the second tank, with children around?

So I'm guessing either an LFS, or school?

i understand. don't the general public make you mad.

I used to want to change the fishtank setups where I used to work (LFS) so we had the venemous fish on the lower tanks, I was fed up of walking through to fin some snotty obese kid with his hand stuck in the tank. I'm too meek and mild to really do much, but one of my colleagues/bosses wasn't. She nearly made one cry when she shouted at one and started to say how the kids probably killed the fish as if he'd been through the garden centre touching things he's probably put pesticides in the tanks, which tanks did he put his hands in...

Ahhh, sweet revenge :D

Hehe.
To be fair I'd hiss right back at anyone that instantly knocks a garden centres aquatics section. Some companies like Maidenhead Aquatics are located in garden centres, and generally I'd say they're not too shabby (though of course it depends on the individual branch!).

And of the LFS's in my area, the best one is in a garden centre. The other 3 I've yet to visit and find they have less dead fish than the number of tanks they have, if you get my meaning, and they're not in a garden centre! The worst is (Or used to be) a dedicated aquatics shop, which has branched out to other pets now too. Last time I went in there each tank had a dead or dying fish in (marine and freshwater), some basically looked how you would expect a tank would look if you fully stocked it without cycling :(
