Can anyone help
I got my leather coral and placed it in the tank and within a day it opened. Then I topped up the evaporated water and the SG was at 1.022 after the top up it was 1.020. A few hours latter the coral closed. That was 10 days ago. Do you think if I raise the SG slowly up to 1.022 again this will help.
Thank for any help you can give.

That SG's pretty low, should be nearer 1.026 (35ppt). Raise it SLOWLY.
Having said that, Leather corals are notorious for 'sulking', sometimes for days. Just leave it and it'll probably come out again when it's ready.

indeed, you should be looking at 1.026 for inverts/corals, and if you look at your leather with a torch or night light when your main lights are off you may see a shiny coating, this means its getting ready to open back up - but bigger than before! - this is what I have seen with mine.

I will raise the SG to 1.025 over the next 4 week and see if this helps. Thanks for the tips.

also it may just be shedding, but yes the SG is quite low. Good luck, although they're moody corals.
