Stinky Pete

Hi,
My orange gorgonian is growing down over the bottom part of the coral/branch which was/is bare, this would normally be a good thing showing the coral is healthy, but a snail has laid lots of eggs there and the gorgonian is now growing over them.
Will this harm the coral when/if the eggs hatch or will it kill the eggs?
This was after the eggs were laid 7 days ago
